Como manager Cesc Fabregas has distanced himself from Chelsea rumours. The Spaniard said he has not thought about leaving the Serie A club this summer.<\/p>\n
The Blues are looking for a replacement for Liam Rosenior after the Englishman was sacked this week. The Como manager is among those linked with the vacant job at Stamford Bridge, and he said:<\/p>\n

It would be stupid to think about things that aren’t important now, because this isn’t important to me. The most important thing is Genoa, the next match, and we want to do everything we can to win. I think I’ll continue as Como’s coach: my experience as a player gives me peace of mind.” (via Standard)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n <\/p>\n <\/template><\/p>\n The comments come just hours after the Como president, Mirwan Suwarso, said he would not stop Fabregas from making the switch if the Spaniard was interested. He said:<\/p>\n “If that makes him happy, that\u2019s him. You want your employees to stay with you for as long as possible but, at the end of the day, we don\u2019t own him and he\u2019s free to go to Chelsea if he wishes.” (via City AM)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n The Blues sacked Rosenior after they lost six of their last seven matches in all competitions. Frank Lampard, Andoni Iraola, Xabi Alonso and Oliver Glasner have also been linked with the FIFA Club World Cup winners.<\/p>\n Frank Lampard was also quizzed about the Chelsea rumours on Friday, and the Coventry City manager did not shut the door on a possible return. He said that the Blues are always going to be a big part of his life and said:<\/p>\n “It\u2019s a difficult patch, for sure, and we as managers know that in those difficult patches, the consequences that can be. And I think we all have to be big enough to understand that. But as a football club, they\u2019re in a difficult patch.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n “They have a chance probably to be able to get something out of the season with the FA Cup and the league position, if they can make that better, but it\u2019s Chelsea\u2019s business. Chelsea\u2019s a big part of my life but at the moment it\u2019s their business and my business is here.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Lampard has coached twice at Stamford Bridge, with his interim stint being touted as one of the worst in history as he managed just one win in 11 matches across all competitions.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
