Chelsea are prioritising a startling level centre back this summer and want the new head coach to be involved in recruitment according to reports.<\/p>\n

The Blues face a critical summer with the club needing to appoint a new head coach, and strengthen the squad in key positions.<\/p>\n

Unlike January, Chelsea are expected to busy and it\u2019s believed the Blues are looking for a centre back, midfielder and another attacker.<\/p>\n

Chelsea prioritising starting level centre back<\/h2>\n

Chelsea have struggled defensively this season, and have paid the price for not signing a replacement for Levi Colwill, who suffered an ACL injury before the start of the campaign.<\/p>\n

In a huge boost for Chelsea Colwill is now back, but a serious overhaul of the centre back department is required in the summer.<\/p>\n

The Blues have been linked with both Murillo and Jan Paul van Hecke, whilst at least three of the current crop could be moved on.<\/p>\n

Football.London have reported Chelsea are prioritising a starting level centre back, and would like the new head coach to be involved in recruitment.<\/p>\n

The report adds for Xabi Alonso that would be a big deal, with previous head coaches not given that opportunity.<\/p>\n
