Katie McCabe will leave Arsenal when her contract expires at the end of the 2025\/26 season.<\/strong><\/p>\n Katie has made 305 appearances for Arsenal across more than a decade in North London, scoring 37 goals along the way.<\/p>\n The 30-year-old Republic of Ireland full-back departs with one FA Cup, one WSL title, three League Cups, one UEFA Women\u2019s Champions League and one FIFA Champions Cup to her name.<\/p>\n Born in Kilnamanagh in 1995, Katie joined us in December 2015 with a reputation as one of the most exciting young players in Irish football. Her first trophy at Arsenal arrived at the end of the 2015\/16 season in the form of the FA Cup, as Katie made an early impact at the club.<\/p>\n Katie enjoyed a successful loan spell at Glasgow City in 2017 before returning to Arsenal in 2018, viewed as a key part of manager Joe Montemurro\u2019s plans.<\/p>\n Katie\u2019s Arsenal career went from strength to strength in the years that followed, as she won the League Cup in 2017\/18 followed by the WSL title in 2018\/19. A strong connection with our supporters was formed, with Katie\u2019s passion and spirited style cementing her place as a firm favourite on the terraces.<\/p>\n Katie was voted our Player of the Season in 2020\/21 and again in 2022\/23, as we won another League Cup title and made a memorable run to the semi-finals of the UEFA Women\u2019s Champions League, with Katie named in the tournament\u2019s Team of the Season.<\/p>\n Another League Cup win followed in 2024, while Katie played an integral role as we secured a historic UEFA Women\u2019s Champions League title in May 2025.<\/p>\n The FIFA Champions Cup win in February 2026 means that Katie leaves Arsenal having won every available club trophy during her time here.<\/p>\n At international level, Katie has led the Republic of Ireland as captain with distinction over many years, winning 105 caps and scoring 34 goals. In 2023, she led her country at their first-ever World Cup, scoring their first World Cup goal direct from a corner in their opening match against Canada.<\/p>\n Director of Women\u2019s Football Clare Wheatley said: \u201cOver more than a decade at Arsenal, Katie has made a significant and lasting contribution to the history and success of our football club.
