Romeo Lavia\u2019s injury record has been an issue since the Belgian arrived at Stamford Bridge in 2023, while Enzo Fernandez\u2019s future remains uncertain.<\/p>\n

Chelsea analysts appreciate Alex Scott\u2019s ability to carry the ball<\/h2>\n

One midfielder who is currently on the Blues\u2019 radar is Bournemouth\u2019s Alex Scott. Last month, it was claimed that Scott has been on Chelsea\u2019s shortlist for a while.<\/p>\n

According to TEAMtalk, one thing that has caught Chelsea analysts\u2019 attention is Scott\u2019s ability to carry the ball through the middle.<\/p>\n

The same outlet says Chelsea feel that the 22-year-old ticks most boxes, while it has been suggested that he could cost \u00a350m.<\/p>\n

However, amid interest from other clubs, Chelsea could struggle to land Scott ahead of the 2026\/27 season.<\/p>\n

Unlike Manchester United, another side who are thought to be keen on the Englishman, Chelsea cannot offer Champions League football.<\/p>\n

Alex Scott\u2019s dribbling numbers this season<\/h2>\n

Scott is definitely one of the better ball carriers in his position. As per FotMob, he completes 0.91 dribbles per 90 minutes, putting him in the 87th percentile among midfielders.<\/p>\n

He has a success rate of 54.9%, which is not the worst compared to other midfielders either.<\/p>\n

All in all, Scott could be a decent addition to this Chelsea squad. Unlike a lot of the club\u2019s recent signings, the Bournemouth man has Premier League experience.<\/p>\n

However, he is still only 22 years of age and has not won a major trophy in his career. Simply put, Scott is not going to be the kind of signing that transforms Chelsea.<\/p>\n

His profile is very different to Fernandez as well, so he could not be a like-for-like replacement for the Argentine. Nevertheless, Chelsea still seem to be keen on him.<\/p>\n
