Arsenal reportedly have a serious concern over Gabriel Martinelli\u2019s future, with the Brazilian winger\u2019s contract due to expire in a year\u2019s time.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 24-year-old is seemingly on Barcelona\u2019s radar and could be available for around \u20ac50m this summer, according to a report from Spanish outlet Fichajes.<\/p>\n

It remains to be seen what will happen with Martinelli, but the Fichajes report explains that the Gunners are very concerned by the situation.<\/p>\n

It would certainly be a blow for Arsenal to lose Martinelli on a free transfer, but at the same time they might not be too keen to give him a new deal after some highly inconsistent form this season.<\/p>\n

According to Transfermarkt, Martinelli\u2019s contract runs until 2027 but also has the option to be extended by one more year.<\/p>\n

That could be the best option for AFC, but it might also be smart for them to think about selling him now if there is genuine and concrete interest from Barca.<\/p>\n

If Arsenal are to progress as a club, they probably need a major signing in attack this summer as Martinelli simply hasn\u2019t been able to do the job week in, week out in the Premier League this term.<\/p>\n

The Brazil international has just one league goal this term, despite a better record of six goals in the Champions League and four in the FA Cup.<\/p>\n

Barcelona could do with Gabriel Martinelli to replace Marcus Rashford<\/h2>\n

It could be that loan signing Marcus Rashford won\u2019t be staying at Barcelona, with Martinelli perhaps an ideal replacement as someone who can fill in on the left or up front.<\/p>\n
