Former Premier League striker Jay Bothroyd believes player linked with a move to Chelsea would be a perfect fit for Arsenal ahead of the summer transfer window.<\/p>\n

Multiple clubs, including Mikel Arteta’s side, Chelsea, and Manchester United, are reportedly keen on signing him. The former striker said (via Metro):<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/template><\/p>\n “He walks into Arsenal\u2019s team. He plays week in, week out on the left-hand side. We (Arsenal) need a player who can play on the left-hand side; he\u2019s got that in abundance.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n \u2018He can do it (play on the left wing), we don\u2019t want another (Gabriel) Martinelli, trust me. I feel like with (Eberechi) Eze, he\u2019s probably Arsenal\u2019s No.10. I would like to see Morgan Rogers playing there and tucking inside. I think he\u2019s a great player.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n He then explained who Rogers wouldn’t be a good fit at Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain or Manchester United:<\/p>\n “When you mention Bayern Munich, I don\u2019t think Bayern Munich is the one. You\u2019ve got Luis Diaz there, he\u2019s playing unbelievably well, then you\u2019ve got (Jamal) Musiala who is coming back, Lennart Karl, who is a fantastic young player, then obviously (Michael) Olise. I don\u2019t think Rogers would fit into that if he wants to play week in, week out. PSG are a similar thing, they\u2019ve got some great attacking players.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n “I think the one that stands out is Arsenal. Even Manchester United, maybe, but I feel they\u2019ve got (Matheus) Cunha, (Bryan) Mbeumo, (Bruno) Fernandes will probably play as a No.10 next season higher up when they sign their midfielders.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n \u2018I feel like Arsenal is the one where he can say, \u2018I\u2019m going there and I\u2019m going to play week in, week out\u2019.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Gunners are keen on signing Julian Alvarez in the summer window. The player is expected to cost at least \u20ac150 million in the summer. Recent reports suggest Mikel Arteta plans to deploy Alvarez from the left wing if the Gunners manage to sign him, as they are planning to potentially sell Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli.<\/p>\n The North London side are set to play Burnley at home before their final game of the season away from home against Crystal Palace.
