Chelsea\u2019s decision to hire Xabi Alonso as their new manager has gone down very well with parties who are interested in agreeing sponsorship deals with the club.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Blues did not wait long following the FA Cup final heartbreak against Manchester City to try and appease the fanbase who have grown unsettled at the current ownership.<\/p>\n

Chelsea fans protested on the walk to Wembley at Saturday\u2019s final, with a number of issues they have with BlueCo being communicated.<\/p>\n

One of their big failings has been to do with front-of-shirt sponsorship, and the loss of revenue the club has endured during time when they have not had a deal sorted.<\/p>\n

Despite this, there is likely more confidence in the club that things will take a positive turn in this department. Journalist Simon Phillips has claimed that the news of Alonso\u2019s hiring has been encouraging for potentially interested companies.<\/p>\n

He said on his Substack: \u201cI\u2019ve also heard that sponsors that Chelsea have been in talks with have already been very encouraged by the Alonso news, so that will help there too.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Blues currently have IFS on the front of their shirts, however that is only a deal that is expected to last until the end of the season.<\/p>\n

Chelsea under financial pressure this summer<\/h2>\n

Chelsea\u2019s financial situation is under more scrutiny than normal after they were sanctioned by UEFA last summer, and forced to sell before they could buy.<\/p>\n

With the Blues missing out on Champions League football, there have been worries that they may need to make some big sales before Alonso even gets a chance to work with his players.<\/p>\n

Financial expert Adam Williams predicted that even Europa League qualification wouldn\u2019t be enough to stop Chelsea needing to make a big sale at the end of the season.<\/p>\n

Enzo Fernandez has been strongly linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season, although has already been named as one player Alonso doesn\u2019t want to depart.<\/p>\n
