Xabi Alonso is officially the new manager of Chelsea, and it looks like the club are going to back him in the transfer market.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Alonso will help Chelsea to identify targets who are Premier League-proven, according to football.london.<\/p>\n

The Alejandro Garnacho signing has not worked out, while Jamie Gittens has not been able to make an impact because of injuries.<\/p>\n

Rogers could easily slot in on the left. The 23-year-old can play there, though his best position is behind the striker.<\/p>\n

Rogers has reached double figures for goals in the Premier League this season after scoring in Aston Villa\u2019s 4-2 win against Liverpool last Friday.<\/p>\n

Elliot Anderson<\/h2>\n

It is going to be really interesting to see what happens with Chelsea\u2019s midfield in the summer. If Enzo Fernandez leaves, the club will definitely have to bring in a new midfielder. Taking that into account, Elliot Anderson could be a suitable candidate to come in.<\/p>\n

Anderson does not score as many goals as Fernandez, but he is still a very technical midfielder. The England international is great at receiving the ball and passing.<\/p>\n

Even if Fernandez does go, he could be an upgrade on Andrey Santos or Romeo Lavia. Anderson probably possesses a bit more quality on the ball than the former, while the latter cannot always be relied on because of all of his injuries.<\/p>\n

Chelsea bringing in a new central defender could be the most important signing they make all summer. They need a physically imposing centre-back to play alongside Levi Colwill, but also someone who is good with his feet. Brighton & Hove Albion\u2019s Jan Paul van Hecke ticks those boxes.<\/p>\n

According to WhoScored, the Dutchman is winning 3.1 aerial duels per game in the Premier League, which is a higher average than what any Chelsea player has managed.<\/p>\n

Deciding to sign players with Premier League experience is the right direction for Chelsea to move in. Now it is just a matter of whom they recruit<\/p>\n
