England Ace ‘In Limbo’ Could Make Stunning Swap
One of the biggest superstars in world football has an uncertain future at the moment. Everyone knows who Marcus Rashford is, but no one knows where he might end up next.
A phenomenally talented inside forward, Rashford’s future in the game is currently up in the air. Unwanted by Manchester United, he has been linked with a few clubs over the past few months.
Recently, however, there have been one or two breakthroughs. It seems that the 28-year-old may finally have a new home after years of ambiguity.
According to a report from TalkSPORT, the 78-cap England international has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur and could move there over the course of the ongoing summer transfer window.
Speaking on the Jacobs and Hawksbee show, journalist Alex Crook said: “I think if he goes anywhere in London, I’m keeping an eye on Tottenham. I could see that deal happening. (I could see) Roberto De Zerbi believing that he can get the best out of Marcus Rashford.”
Despite this, Spurs aren’t the only club in the race. The same report mentions that Arsenal are in the mix, though it seems currently unlikely that the Gunners will pursue a move for the player.
As well as this, a recent report from The Sun mentioned that Chelsea were the ‘favourites’ to sign Rashford as things stand, with Real Madrid and Aston Villa also in the hunt for his signature.
Barcelona missed out on their £26 million deadline to sign Rashford after his loan deal expired, so they can be ruled out of the race (via BBC Sport).
All in all, Rashford has plenty of interest in him at the moment. We don’t know where he will end up right now, but he might finally be given the chance to turn the corner after a nightmarish couple of years.

What would Marcus Rashford bring to Tottenham at the age of 28?
Rashford certainly isn’t a spring chicken any more, but he isn’t past his best, either. We saw this last season – in La Liga, he racked up 17 goals contributions for Barcelona.
He wasn’t England’s main man on the left at the World Cup, owing to the fine form of Anthony Gordon, but still put forth a solid contribution. In particular, he scored a very nice curled effort against Croatia in the Three Lions’ opening game.
Rashford might no longer be the lightning-quick forward he once was, but his adroit technical ability and blistering finishing still remains. He cannot be allowed onto his right foot in or around the area or he will punish you.
Despite this, he isn’t the hardest worker in the world. Roberto De Zerbi likes his players to track back, which Rashford isn’t the sort of player to do.
In that sense, we wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t start every game. Nevertheless, he could still be a lethal super-sub for the Lilywhites – might this be where his future in football lies?
