Colombian site El Universal reports that Chelsea are in for Daniel Munoz, a teammate of Maxence Lacroix at Palace, this summer. One of the Premier League’s best right-backs, Munoz has starred since his arrival.

An experienced player, Colombia international Munoz fits the bill in terms of what BlueCo are trying to do, and he would certainly fit Xabi Alonso’s attacking wing-back system. BolaVip say he is rated at £34m.

But with Palestra on board, Josh Acheampong able to play on the right and many other options, the signing of Munoz is a clear indication that Chelsea are looking to replace Gusto, if he does depart.

While Munoz might not have the resale value of Gusto given he is older at 30, many would argue that he is a better option on the right of the defence than the Frenchman. He would be a superb replacement.
