‘That’s my only aim’ – Tyrique George makes Everton feelings clear after David Moyes verdict

Tyrique George joined Everton on loan from Chelsea in February and has come off the bench in his side’s last three Premier League games

Tyrique George has dropped the biggest hint yet that he would like to remain at Everton beyond this summer.

George is understood to have attracted interest from another Premier League club and one in Europe before joining the Blues on transfer deadline day in February.

Despite finding game time hard to come by after first arriving, the 20-year-old has come off the bench in Everton’s last three games.

In total he has made eight appearances for the Blues, and he admits he is loving life at at the club. He said: “It was my job as a sub to come on and try to impact the game.

“I want to create, score goals and make things happen. I’ll keep working to try to make it happen.

“I’m loving it as an Everton player. The boys are great and everyone is so nice here. I want to help us get as many wins as possible.

“That’s my only aim – to help us get as many wins as we can. We want to get European football and it’s still a possibility for us.

“The fans are top, they’re really good people. It’s a passionate environment and I love feeling that every time I step on the pitch. I want to play for them.”

Speaking following his side’s 2-2 with Brentford earlier this month, Blues boss David Moyes said he believes George is a young player who will continue to develop.

He said: “He’s got good control, he wants to score, I like that, and you saw that today.

“He wants to try and score and that was important for me because I think wide players nowadays, we’re asking (a lot of) them.

“We rely a lot on Ili Ndiaye, I’m sure Brentford rely a lot on (Kevin) Schade and their wide players as well.

“I think being a wide player now, you’ve got to have a contribution with goals and assists. He’s a young boy who will obviously continue to develop, I’ve got no doubt about that.”
