Chelsea are prepared to host Nottingham Forest in an important Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge this Monday, May 4, with the clash is set for a 3pm kick-off. The Blues have endured a rather abysmal run of form in recent weeks, leading to Liam Rosenior’s eventual sacking, with Calum McFarlane taking up the charge as interim head coach.

The former assistant coach will be looking to lead the Blues to their first Premier League win in six consecutive games. This isn’t the only good news for Chelsea, with McFarlane revealing that Reece James and Levi Colwill have both returned to first-team training. The latter has been out injured throughout the entire season, but he is on a race against time to partake in the Blues’ final games.

Speaking about the duo, McFarlane told the press:

“Reece is back in training and Levi, both looking good. A little way to the game so we’ll see how they do but both are looking promising. We’re taking it day by day. Levi has had a long injury, Reece had a really good run and was then injured again so we don’t want to push too much.”

Meanwhile, the mood will be different for Chelsea’s visitors Nottingham Forest. Rather than brimming with hope, the Reds are currently bullish with an impressive nine-game unbeaten run. They have now racked up four consecutive wins in all competitions, and they will have every intention of snatching all three points at the Bridge and forcing the Blues further into midfield obscurity.
