There has been three main reasons listed by The Guardian as to why Chelsea really want Xabi Alonso as their new manager.
I mean, it probably goes without saying anyway for most people. Alonso is the best manager out there who is available right now, and who has been linked with Chelsea. None of the other linked names even come close to the calibre of Alonso as a head coach. So really, Chelsea need to do all they can to bring him in and not take no for answer. Give him whatever he needs and get him in that hot seat as soon as possible.
