Top Premier League Clubs ‘Keeping Tabs’ on England Superstar

West Ham United, unfortunately, should have seen this coming. Jarrod Bowen, the Hammers’ beloved talisman, could leave the club at the end of the season.

A slew of top clubs in the Premier League have been credited with an interest in the 29-year-old. According to report from the Daily Mail, Liverpool, Everton and Newcastle United are all looking to snap Bowen up in the summer transfer window.

They aren’t the only ones, either. Previously, Football Insider reported that Chelsea are also interested in a move for the player, though they also note that he has ‘no plans to leave’ West Ham.

Previously, a report from TEAMtalk back in February indicated that Manchester United would make Bowen their ‘top summer target’.

Nevertheless, if the Hammers are presented with enough money, his hands will be tied. Furthermore, these four clubs are not interested in West Ham’s bid for Premier League survival – they will action a move for Bowen whether the Irons stay up or not.

One has to believe, though, that Bowen’s chances of leaving West Ham will escalate greatly if they cannot beat the drop. After losing to Arsenal at the weekend, their relegation could be all-but sealed.

It’s easy to see why clubs are queuing up for a chance to acquire Bowen’s services. He has been outstanding for West Ham this season – not only is he their top goalscorer, he’s also top of the class in terms of assists.

He is also their captain – to call him an important player would be a gross understatement. As such, West Ham will do everything in their power to keep him on board.

He may well leave the club in the summer, but the Hammers have yet to slap a proverbial price tag on his head. He won’t be cheap, given his importance to the club.

Who would benefit the most from Bowen’s arrival?

For us, a move to Newcastle United makes a lot of sense from Bowen’s perspective. Culturally, they’re a very similar club to the Hammers – they just happen to be situated at the other end of the country.

That aside, the Magpies are in need of attacking reinforcements. Anthony Gordon may well leave the club in the summer – outside of him and Harvey Barnes, they are somewhat lacking in quality out wide.

Furthermore, they have also struggled to find a consistent goalscorer up top. Bowen isn’t a natural striker, but he can fill in the role and perform an admirable job on a consistent basis.

Additionally, Everton are also suffering from dearth of quality in the wide positions. With Jack Grealish likely heading back to Manchester City in the summer, they could certainly use a player of Bowen’s quality.

At the other clubs mentioned, Bowen risks being lost in the mix. Chelsea’s squad is enormous – furthermore, he doesn’t really fit the bill that BlueCo are looking for. Likewise, Manchester United also have some excellent attacking options who won’t want to be dropped to bench.

As such, if we were Bowen’s agent, we’d angling for a move to Newcastle United or Everton. For now, however, Bowen remains a Hammer.
