Chelsea should bid for €100m star after Anthony Gordon agrees terms with Bayern Munich
Chelsea look set to miss out on Anthony Gordon this summer, with the Newcastle United winger edging closer to a move to Bayern Munich.
On Wednesday, it was reported that Bayern and Gordon have an agreement in place, though the German club still need to strike a deal with Newcastle.
Chelsea are interested in Gordon, but this latest development means they will likely have to start considering alternatives to the 25-year-old.

Chelsea should make move for Nico Williams
One winger the Blues should turn to is Athletic Club’s Nico Williams, and there is a real possibility that they do.
Last month, it was claimed that Chelsea are eyeing Williams as they look for a replacement for Alejandro Garnacho, who has struggled at Stamford Bridge this season.
The 23-year-old has attracted interest from the Club World Cup winners in the past and could bring a lot to their attack.
Williams’ biggest strength is his dribbling, while the Spaniard has also proven that he can deliver on the biggest stage.
It was the Athletic star who opened the scoring for Spain against England in the Euro 2024 final as his nation went on to win 2-1.
Williams will not come cheap. He has a €100m (£86.6m) release clause in his contract, which is probably a bit too much for an attacker who is not the most prolific in front of goal yet. But if Chelsea can negotiate a lower fee, the Spain international has to be considered in the upcoming transfer window.
Nico Williams vs Anthony Gordon
This season, Williams’ and Gordon’s outputs have been practically identical. In 25 league games, Williams has scored six goals and provided three assists.
As for Gordon, he has also scored six goals but has registered one assist fewer. Williams has been the much better dribbler, completing 2.7 dribbles per game compared to Gordon’s 1.3 (via Nico Williams’ WhoScored and Anthony Gordon’s WhoScored pages).

Their goal contribution numbers have not been outstanding, but both men would be upgrades on Garnacho, who has only scored one goal in the Premier League this term.
If Chelsea can get either Williams or Gordon, their left flank will become a lot stronger.
