An exclusive report from the Daily Mail claims that Levi Colwill has been put on England’s 55 man roster for the World Cup this summer, as manager Thomas Tuchel prepares to chop that list to the final 26 in his announcement next week.

Colwill clears first hurdle but faces tricky task on next

The defender has been out injured all season, but looks to have made it back just in time to at least have a chance of making it.

Assuming he starts against Man City tomorrow and gets through that game ok, it’s hard to see him playing against Tottenham on Tuesday – that game just comes too soon for a guy back after a long injury.

He would therefore only have the final game of the season against Sunderland to continue to improve his sharpness and fitness.

Enough to get into the 26 man squad? A tall order, but not impossible, especially if he looks back to his best in front of Thomas Tuchel tomorrow.

In other news…

Trevoh Chalobah has spoken about how much he wants to lift the FA Cup, 8 years on from featuring in the matchday squad against Man U in the final.

It looks like Robert Sanchez is going to be fit for the FA Cup final, another boost for a Chelsea team who are gradually piecing themselves together.
