A decade ago, on May 15, 2016, Mikel Arteta played his last professional game, coming on as a substitute in our 4-0 victory against Aston Villa.
Our skipper was introduced to the fray in the 88th minute by Arsene Wenger as an opportunity to say goodbye to the supporters who had chanted his name for five seasons, but despite having limited time on the field, he made an impact by hammering a shot towards goal in stoppage-time and seeing it cannon off visiting goalkeeper Mark Bunn, giving him the chance to soak up the adulation one last time as a player.
He was swamped by jubilant teammates who were delighted to see their skipper get the send-off he deserved, but how many of the side that started that final day of success can you recall?
