David Moyes press conference – Seamus Coleman decision, VAR admission, injury latest

Giulia asks what qualities Moyes most appreciates about Coleman – he says his humility and his character.

“He is incredible around the dressing room.” Says he thinks Coleman was the one that held things together during the “darker” recent years. He won’t say if he will get minutes against Sunderland – says Seamus wouldn’t want that either, he would want it done right.

On first season at new stadium, Moyes believes it has gone as well as he thinks could have been hoped. He would like to improve and hopes to build on this campaign but points to how well Everton have done away from home.

On VAR does he think there could be a bigger converstion to be had around it in the summer? He says the impact of the wrong decisions against Everton have been big but the apologies, admissions have meant something. His focus is on the last two games.

Carl from PA asks about Gueye extension – “losing Seamus is a big blow. We will talk about Gana in the coming weeks.” He says the club is trying to go about its business quietly.

Carl had asked about the loss of experience if Gueye and Coleman go.

Moyes believes experience “is coming back in fashion”. He thinks both in players and managers.
