Man City parade details in full as date set after FA Cup final victory

Manchester City defeated Chelsea to claim their eighth FA Cup crown and have plans to celebrate

Manchester City have announced plans to celebrate the men’s, women’s, and academy teams for their impressive 2025/26 campaigns, with an open-top bus parade taking place on Monday, May 25th. There will also be ‘The After Party’ in a special event at Co-op Live.

Antoine Semenyo scored the only goal of the game as City claimed their eighth FA Cup title, defeating Chelsea at Wembley. The January signing showed his brilliance with an inspired flick to turn Erling Haaland’s cross into the back of the net, leaving Robert Sanchez with no chance of making the save.

It’s the second trophy wrapped up with all focus now on the Premier League title, with Pep Guardiola’s side still in contention for the top-flight crown. They know they’ll need Arsenal to slip up in one of their final two games, and win both of their remaining fixtures.

Regardless of the result in the title race, City will celebrate another successful season for the club, with the City’s Women’s team claiming the WSL title and the club’s U18s side defeated Manchester United to win the FA Youth Cup last week.

The build up will start in the Northern Quarter at 4pm and there will be a kick-off moment involving all the teams at the start of the parade, before the buses travel through Ancoats on to the Ashton New Road. The parade will come to a close with one final moment to celebrate outside the Etihad Stadium at the Colin Bell Stand Reception.

‘The After Party’ will be a special separate even that takes place at Co-Op Live after the parade. The will be live music, entertainment, player interviews from both the men’s and women’s teams along with special guests.

The club have warned supporters that it won’t be possible to take part in both the parade and ‘The After Party’ with no entry permitted at the Co-op Live arena after 5pm.

Tickets for the even go on sale on Monday and there will be a priority window for any men’s and women’s Season Ticket Members (GA and Hospitality) and Cityzens Matchday and Junior Members.

Guardiola made it clear there was no time to celebrate this season’s success while the battle for the Premier League title was still up for grabs.

“Home – not even one beer,” he said in his post-match press conference after beating Chelsea. “Next Monday, after Aston Villa, we’re going to celebrate with the women’s team with a parade in Manchester, but no, we do not have time now.

“Chelsea had seven days to prepare for the final, we had three days and yesterday was a nightmare.

“We spent literally six hours getting from Manchester to here. The trains are a little bit of a problem in this country. Six hours!”
