Ruud Gullit Claims Departing Man Utd Star Would Be Ideal Partner For Moises Caicedo
Chelsea legend Ruud Gullit thinks Moises Caicedo “needs” an experienced head like Man Utd’s Casemiro alongside him in midfield.
Speaking to MrRaffle.comGullit said that he shares the view of other former players that the Blues’ current squad is lacking senior figures:
“Any manager would see what I see and say, ‘I need experienced players – I need a Casemiro, a Tchouameni. I need these players in midfield. I need this kind of experience alongside the young talent.’ And if you don’t have them, it’s going to be a problem. Look at Paris Saint-Germain – they have young players, but they also have players with a lot of experience. ”
“Those experienced players tell the young ones what to do, and that’s how they flourish. And when they get older, they’ll teach the next group of youngsters. That’s what Moises Caicedo needs – someone like Casemiro next to him to guide him. To say, ‘Hey, calm down. Do it this way.’ And that happens in training sessions.”

It was announced back in January that the 34-year-old would be leaving United at the end of his contract.
Despite having had a very strong campaign, in which he has scored 9 league goals for the Red Devils, the club have decided to part ways in order to reduce their wage bill.
Cole has backed Chelsea to sign 3 other senior pros
Like Gullit, fellow former Blues star Joe Cole thinks the club should be doing all they can to bring in more experience. He named former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson, Manchester City defender John Stones and Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski as potential targets.
Whether the Blues’ recruitment team will actually heed the words of Gullit and Cole, we shall have to wait and see. Any decisions on new signings may have to wait until a new head coach is appointed anyway.
