“He just hate Chelsea at this point”

Chelsea fans are furious with referee Darren England after the FA Cup final loss to Manchester City. Many believe that the official worked in favour of the Cityzens today and played a key role in the defeat.

Joao Pedro was fouled by Abdukodir Khusanov inside the box in the first half, when the scoreline was goalless. The referee and VAR deemed it a shoulder challenge, even though the first contact was clearly on the Chelsea attacker’s knee.

The Manchester City defender also committed a foul inside the box in the second half, taking down Jorrel Hato. The referee and VAR once again did not see it as a foul, though the defender did not attempt to get the ball on both occasions.

Antoine Semenyo scored the lone goal of the game as the Blues lost 1-0, leaving Wembley with another runners-up medal. The fans posted about the referee and said:

Chelsea interim manager Calum McFarlane spoke about the penalty incidents after the match. He insisted that they were tough calls, but added that the Hato incident was certainly a penalty and said:

“I thought they’re tough calls. The Hato and Khusanov collision was a penalty. Jorrel gets in front. If it’s anywhere else on the pitch, it’s a foul – sometimes you get them, sometimes you don’t.”

Chelsea will end the season without silverware after winning two last season. Enzo Maresca, who walked away from the club on New Year’s Day, won the UEFA Conference League and the FIFA World Cup in 2025.

Chelsea set to appoint Xabi Alonso as next manager

Chelsea have been looking for their next manager for the last month and are close to reaching an agreement with Xabi Alonso. The Spaniard has been their top target, along with Andoni Iraola.

Calum McFarlane spoke about the rumours ahead of the FA Cup final and said:

“There’s a lot of names linked with the job. It’s not really my place to say who should get it, or who’s a good manager, who’s not a good manager. My job is to prepare the team for Saturday and that’s all I’ll be focusing on.”

The Blues appointed Liam Rosenior after Enzo Maresca left, but the Englishman lasted just four months before being sacked by the club. The former Hull City manager started well at Stamford Bridge, but lost 4 successive Premier League matches and was knocked out of the Carabao Cup and the UEFA Champions League.
