Chelsea interested in move to bring back world-class player
Chelsea finally seem to be looking towards a brighter future. They might have lost the FA Cup final this weekend but the mood is a lot lighter amongst the fans than you would expect on the back of such a defeat, which confirmed they will finish the campaign trophyless again. That is because the Blues have announced that Xabi Alonso will be the next manager of the club.
Yes, manager, not head coach. That title has been underlined time and again by the media. He is set to have more control and say that his predecessors when it comes to football decisions as well as transfer plans.
As Chelsea aim to build a brighter future, they might look towards the past. And one of them might involve undoing one of BlueCo’s early mistakes and bringing back a player they let go, and who has since gone on to become world-class.
According to Simon Phillips (via ChelsHub), Chelsea are exploring an ambitious move to re-sign Lewis Hall this summer.

Hall left Chelsea, after coming up through the Cobham ranks to join Newcastle United. He was always considered one of the brightest young talents in English football and he has delivered on that with the Magpies.
Right now, in the eyes of many, he is the best left-back in the Premier League. And he is also capable of playing in midfield as well.
So, all things considered, something like Hall could be perfect for the system that Alonso likes to play. Also, do not overlook the rumours that Marc Cucurella could be looking to leave this summer for a move to Barcelona and it all fits perfectly.
Will Hall want a comeback?
It remains to be seen if Chelsea do end up making a move. And if they do, will Newcastle United be willing to part ways? More importantly, would Hall be open to the idea of a return?
There are a lot of moving parts here. Right now, a move is only being explored. It will be interesting to see if that interest ends up becoming concrete in the future or not.
Hall might have been keen to leave early in his career as chances were going to be hard to come by but right now, if he does return, he would be brought back as a starter. And he is at the point where it might be time to take that next step. Are Chelsea considered that anymore? Or would he be aiming for a club that is winning things more consistently these days?
