Xabi Alonso could sell Joao Pedro to avoid past mistakes
Spanish outlet Diario AS believe that new Chelsea manager could let one of his key players leave the club this summer.
As we know, Alonso is going to get much more of a say in the transfer market than previous Blues managers have had recently, meaning he will get a say on who they sign and who they sell as well.

This gets him much more involved in stories such as the Joao Pedro to Barcelona links. Alonso has not even officially arrived in as Chelsea manager yet, but it has been officially confirmed by the club. So we expect that behind the scenes he will already be involved in the decisions that they are expected to take soon.
Pedro to Barcelona?
Barcelona have been heavily linked with Pedro for the summer.
Monday’s edition of AS reports that Barcelona director Deco met with the Brazil international’s agent in London last Thursday.
Pedro is keen, but apparently any move is difficult due to Chelsea not wanting to sell and the high price they would demand.
Now apparently, any decision on Pedro will be down to Alonso. In order to avoid the Real Madrid nightmare at Chelsea, AS believe the coach could let Pedro leave as he doesn’t want to have disgruntled players in his squad. Alonso will want everyone pulling in the same direction.
