“If you have a heart, you’ll leave my club”

Some Chelsea fans have expressed how unhappy they are with Pedro Neto despite the Blues securing a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

Enzo Fernandez was the star of the show for Chelsea as the Argentine midfielder scored and grabbed an assist, before Richarlison pulled a goal back, to secure a vital win for the hosts.

While Fernandez impressed thoroughly thanks to his goal from distance and the cushioned ball in for Andrey Santos, who doubled Chelsea’s advantage, Neto flattered to deceive some of the fans.

The Portuguese winger made a return to the line-up after missing the last two Premier League games due to injury. Neto was used as a substitute in the FA Cup final loss to Manchester City on Saturday and showed nothing here to prove that he deserves a run in the playing eleven.

In fact, one fan believes that his presence in the Portugal squad reduces Cristiano Ronaldo and co’s chances of winning the World Cup. @Danger_Hazard10 wrote:

Another fan went on to claim that Neto should leave Chelsea in the summer transfer window, if he still has a heart. @1of11of1 stated:

“Pedro Neto if you’ve a heart you’ll leave my club”

Others also joined in on the criticism of Neto’s performance against Tottenham.

Neto has scored just five goals and registered as many assists in 33 Premier League games for Chelsea this term. He has a contract with the club that runs until 2031.

The defeat at Stamford Bridge means that Tottenham head into the final day of the season without guaranteeing their safety from relegation. West Ham are still two points behind Spurs in the points table. But if Tottenham lose to Everton and West Ham beat Leeds on Sunday, Spurs will be relegated to the Championship.

Manchester City were also held to a draw by Bournemouth in Tuesday’s other game. That result now means that Arsenal are officially Premier League champions. No matter what happens on the final day of the season, City will not be able to match the Gunners’ points tally now.
