Because Moyes has ordered an Everton bid for a West Ham star just 48 hours after relegation.

When announcing club record £104m losses in February, West Ham said players would have to be sold this summer – especially if they dropped into the Championship.

The Hammers have warned of FFP complications to their promotion expectations next season.

It is believed around £100-150m will need to be raised through player sales.

And talks have reportedly already begun between the Hammers and Everton over a £10m deal for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The right-back was Hammer of the Year in his debut season at the club after arriving in a bargain £15m deal from Man United.

But some West Ham fans have questioned Wan-Bissaka’s attitude and application during this season’s relegation battle.

Wan-Bissaka has been in and out of the West Ham side under Nuno Espirito Santo.

Now he could be the first Hammers player sacrificed to raise vital funds with Moyes ordering Everton to make an early bid as he looks to replace Seamus Coleman.

Telegraph journalist Gary Jacob claims Wan-Bissaka is the subject of serious interest from Moyes and Everton, who are keen to wrap the signing up before he heads off to the World Cup.

Ideally West Ham want to at least get their original £15m investment back on Wan-Bissaka.

The situation is complicated by the fact Wan-Bissaka specifically joined West Ham so he could return to his native London after a spell at Man United.

West Ham signed the former Palace defender up to a seven-year deal, which still has five years to run.

Kyle Walker-Peters is expected to stay at the club but a new right-back will be sought to share the load of a gruelling 46-game Championship season.

One option could be the return of a Hammers hero after Vladimir Coufal sent West Ham a message of hope following their relegation.

If the Hammers do sell Wan-Bissaka it will be at least £10m down, £140m to go but would also shift his sizeable salary off the West Ham wage bill too.
