Indeed, Chelsea have been linked with Bowen, while Liverpool have also been credited with an interest in the 29-year-old.
There is clearly no guarantee that Bowen will leave West Ham United this summer and transfer speculation surrounding a player of his stature is clearly nothing new.

It is difficult to predict the future, not least because it is still unclear as to what division the Hammers will be playing in next season.
For now, however, Bowen remains fully focused on trying to keep the team in the Premier League.
Bowen vows not to give up on West Ham
Speaking to The Athletic, Bowen said: “I’m trying to bring my A-game week in, week out. Has it always been like that every week? No but I’m not going to give up on this club, or on my team-mates. If I can help the team with goals and assists, I’ll do that. If not, three points is the most important thing.”
With 18 goal contributions in 38 games across all competitions this season (eight goals, ten assists), the England international is leading by example.

There is little doubt that Bowen remains West Ham’s on-field leader, despite the fact some supporters believe the captaincy sometimes weighs him down.
He keeps stepping up. The two assists he recorded against Everton on Saturday were the first goal contributions he has produced this season when West Ham were out of the bottom three.
That underlines just what a leader he is. When the pressure is on, Bowen tends to come alive.
Other players have also risen to the challenge of course, but none of them have the body of work that Bowen does here in east London.
What will be will be. Bowen loves playing for West Ham, and links with a move away are nothing new.
The major focus now, however, has to be on ensuring that the club stay in the Premier League.
Bowen is doing his part, and it would be of absolutely no surprise to see him make many more significant impacts during the final four games of the season.
