The World Cup is nearly upon us as 15 of our stars head to Mexico, Canada and the USA for this summer’s finals.

With 48 nations heading to North America for this expanded tournament, there’s plenty of Gunners in action across the 12 groups.

As the 23rd World Cup gets set for take off, we take a dive into when our Gunners are featuring during the group stages. All kick-off times below are set to British Summer Time.

SATURDAY, JUNE 13 – BRAZIL v MOROCCO

Our World Cup interest kicks off with Brazil taking on Morocco at the MetLife Stadium, New Jersey, at 11pm UK time.

It will be a late start for UK viewers to catch a potential glimpse of Gabriel Magalhaes and Gabriel Martinelli as the pair prepare for a clash against the 2022 World Cup semi-finalists.

These two sides faced off in the 1998 World Cup, with Brazil winning 3-0 in Nantes.

SUNDAY, JUNE 14 – GERMANY v CURACAO

There’s a big game on Sunday, June 14, as Kai Havertz’s Germany opens their group campaign against the Caribbean nation of Curacao.

The 2014 World Cup winners head to the NRG Stadium in Houston for a 6pm kick-off UK time.

MONDAY, JUNE 15 – IVORY COAST v ECUADOR, SWEDEN v TUNISIA, SPAIN v CAPE VERDE, BELGIUM v EGYPT

If you’re watching the World Cup in the UK, you’ll have to get used to setting your clocks for an early start, and Monday, June 15, is the first example of a late night or early morning.

Just a few hours after Netherlands v Japan, we have Piero Hincapie’s Ecuador facing Ivory Coast, kicking off at midnight on Monday, June 15.

If you’re in the mood for staying up late, then at 3am, you can see Viktor Gyokeres’ Sweden take on Tunisia at the Estadio BBVA, in Mexico.

Fast forward 14 hours and the evening matches on June 15 get underway as Spain face Cape Verde in Atlanta at 5pm UK time. David Raya, Martin Zubimendi and Mikel Merino will all hope to be featuring as La Roja bid to replicate their success of 2010.

Our feast of Monday night football finishes with Leandro Trossard’s Belgium, who will take on Egypt in Seattle at 8pm BST.

TUESDAY, JUNE 16 – FRANCE v SENEGAL, NORWAY v IRAQ

24 hours after your banquet of Monday football, Tuesday, June 16 brings us two big clashes from Group I.

First up, William Saliba’s France take on Senegal at 8pm in New Jersey in a repeat of the opening fixture of the 2002 World Cup.

Then, at 11pm, Martin Odegaard’s Norway face Iraq in Boston in their first World Cup match since 1998. Martin is warming up nicely for the tournament, netting in a friendly against Morocco in New Jersey.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 17 – ENGLAND v CROATIA

Following three days of multiple matches, one fixture dominates Wednesday, June 17 for us and that’s England taking on Croatia at 9pm in Texas.

Noni Madueke, Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka and Eberechi Eze have been selected by Thomas Tuchel as the Three Lions get underway in a repeat of the 2018 World Cup semi-final, which went the way of the Croatians.

SATURDAY, JUNE 20 – BRAZIL v HAITI, NETHERLANDS v SWEDEN, GERMANY v IVORY COAST

After a three-day wait for some Gunner action, the second round of group stage matches arrives with a late-night feast in Philadelphia as Brazil takes on Haiti at 1.30am at Lincoln Financial Field.

There’s then a heavyweight clash between the Netherlands and Gyokeres’ Sweden. The match will be at 6pm in Houston.

At 9pm the same night, Havertz’s Germany are in action, going up against Ivory Coast as our first Gunner steps onto Canadian soil, with the match taking place in Toronto.

SUNDAY, JUNE 21 – ECUADOR v CURACAO, SPAIN v SAUDI ARABIA, BELGIUM v IRAN

There’s more early hours footy coming your way, as Hincapie’s Ecuador face Curacao at 1am on Sunday, June 21, in Kansas City.

Later that day, at 5pm, our Spanish trio could be in action, with Spain taking on Saudi Arabia in Atlanta.

The night is finished off with Trossard and Belgium, who will be going up against Iraq at 8pm in Los Angeles.

MONDAY, JUNE 22 – FRANCE v IRAQ

Just the one match to jot onto your calendar on Monday, June 22, which comes from Philadelphia at 10pm as Saliba’s France face Iraq.

It will be the first time these two nations have ever met at a World Cup. While this might be the only game of the day, the early hours of Tuesday will provide a host of entertainment.

TUESDAY, JUNE 23 – NORWAY v SENEGAL, ENGLAND v GHANA

Just one hour into your Tuesday and you’ll be served up a treat as our captain, Martin Odegaard, leads his nation against Senegal.

The game will take place at 1am at BMO Field in Toronto, Canada, as both sides look to make their way out of Group I.

In the evening, our four lions could be in action for England as they take on African outfit Ghana at 9pm in Boston.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 24 – SCOTLAND v BRAZIL

It’s crunch time on Wednesday, June 24 as the final group games get underway.

Our Gabis could be up against former Gunner Kieran Tierney in the final match of Group C as Brazil face Scotland in Miami at 11pm BST.

THURSDAY, JUNE 25 – ECUADOR v GERMANY

On Thursday, we head towards the conclusion of Group E where it’s another all-Gunner showdown.

Hincapie’s Ecuador face Havertz’s Germany at 9pm in New Jersey, which could have a huge say as to who tops this tight group.

FRIDAY, JUNE 26 – JAPAN v SWEDEN, NORWAY v FRANCE

As the clock strikes midnight on Friday, June 26, two big matches get underway that could feature our Gunners.

It’s the conclusion of Group F, at 12am, where Viktor Gyokeres’ Sweden will be going up against Japan in Texas.

After the dust settles from the drama of Group F, the conclusion of Group I brings us another Gunner-on-Gunner game.

Odegaard and Norway will take on Saliba’s France at 8pm on Friday night at Gillette Stadium in Boston.

SATURDAY, JUNE 27 – URUGUAY v SPAIN, NEW ZEALAND v BELGIUM, ENGLAND v PANAMA

The group stages come to an end on Saturday, June 27, but not before a large portion of Arsenal action across all three host nations.

Firstly, to Mexico, where Spain will face Uruguay at 1am at the Estadio Akron, Guadalajara.

At 4am, attention turns to Vancouver, Canada, where Trossard’s Belgium are taking on New Zealand in their final group game.

Our interest in the group stages ends with England at 10pm on Saturday night, as the Three Lions face Panama in New Jersey.
