The gap between PSG’s stated position and Barcola’s desire to leave is narrowing by the week. Liverpool’s need is the most urgent. Losing Mohamed Salah and finishing fifth in the Premier League last season demands a transformative summer. They have the financial muscle and the project to match what the player is looking for.
Arsenal’s interest will cool considerably if Rogers arrives first. Atletico and Barcelona face financial ceilings that make this near-impossible at anything close to €150 million.
We feel that Barcola ends up at Anfield before the window closes, probably for a fee somewhere around £110 million to £120 million once PSG accept that holding firm benefits nobody. Least of all, a player who has made up his mind.
