Jude Bellingham mocked by Enzo Fernandez’s brother ahead of possible Real Madrid reunion

Enzo Fernandez’s brother put the boot in on Jude Bellingham following England’s World Cup exit at the hands of Argentina. Fernandez, who scored his country’s leveller in Wednesday’s semi-final, is believed to crave a move to Real Madrid, where he would join forces with Bellingham.
For now, Chelsea insist they are keen to retain his services while Real Madrid have released a statement saying they are not trying to sign him. That said, it would be no surprise to see the midfielder, 25, donning the famous white kit one day.
However, it could lead to an awkward exchange with Bellingham after Enzo’s brother, Seba gloated on social media by posting a picture of his brother celebrating with Bellingham sprawled on the turf on his Instagram story. The cutting caption read: “Hahaha Bye, Bellingham.”
The post didn’t sit well with some of his 26,000 followers, who made clear they wouldn’t want Enzo or any members of his family anywhere near Real Madrid. One remarked: “Bellingham much better than Enzo and you say bye bye.”

Another commented: “Bellingham, you’re light-years and years better than Enzo, and you’re saying goodbye? You’re really ridiculous.”
A third wrote: “Brother laughing at Bellingham on his stories, who plays at the club where Enzo is dragging to be. You don’t have greatness or class to play in Madrid.”
Those responses came on a more measured post from Seba, who paid a heartfelt tribute to his brother following Argentina’s victory. He wrote: “I’m lost for words to describe just how proud and happy I am. The professional you are, brother, and the performance you put in today, it’s fair to say you’re making history. I love you, and may God continue to bless you abundantly @enzojfernandez.”
Earlier this month, Real denied they had tried to sign Fernandez. Their statement read: “In light of the information and statements that have emerged in recent days regarding an alleged interest from Real Madrid CF in the player Enzo Fernandez, the club wishes to state that it has not made any efforts, either directly or indirectly, aimed at signing the aforementioned player and, furthermore, has no intention of pursuing such an operation.
“Real Madrid wishes to express its utmost respect for Enzo Fernandez, a great footballer whose career and quality are widely recognised, as well as for Chelsea FC, a club with which it maintains an excellent institutional relationship.”
New manager Xabi Alonso has made clear that Chelsea are keen to hold onto Fernandez and revealed the pair have held talks. The Spaniard said: “Yes, we have spoken. But as you can understand, what we have spoken about remains private. But yes, we have spoken.”
When pressed on whether he wanted Fernandez to stay at Stamford Bridge, Alonso simply replied: “Yes.”
Fernandez is among four Chelsea players still participating in the World Cup, alongside England pair Reece James and Trevoh Chalobah and France’s Malo Gusto, who will feature in Saturday’s third-place play-off in Miami.
