Chelsea have been very busy on the outgoing front in the summer transfer window with the Blues securing around £126million for three departed players in recent weeks

It was inevitable there would be a lot of changes at Stamford Bridge this summer. After such a disappointing 2025/26 season – that saw two permanent head coaches leave Chelsea – a review needed to be taken.

Chelsea released a statement following the sacking of Liam Rosenior in April and in there included a line of acknowledgement, where the club’s board vowed to undergo a “period of self-reflection”. A few months on and three players have already departed Stamford Bridge – and there are more to follow as Xabi Alonso ‘s squad continues to be gutted.

The west Londoners have already been handed around £126million for the sales of Marc Cucurella (£51.7m), Tyrique George (£24m) and Andrey Santos (£50m). If Alejandro Garnacho and Trevoh Chalobah’s respective asking prices of £42.5m and £35m are met, then this would see the Blues with a whopping £203.5m in accumulated transfer fees.

Garnacho has interest from several clubs in Italy, England and Saudi Arabia and is available for sale this summer after an underwhelming debut season at Stamford Bridge. As exclusively revealed on football.london earlier in the month, Chelsea want any move for the 22-year-old Argentine winger to be a permanent one and are not interested in a temporary solution.

The price for Garnacho? Chelsea insiders with knowledge of the situation are saying £42.5m and are confident a deal can be struck in the not-too-distant future. AS Roma are interested in a move for the former Manchester United wide man, though sources say the Rome-based outfit have been discussing a loan move – something Chelsea are against negotiating.

Alonso, speaking in his unveiling press conference earlier this week, all but confirmed Garnacho’s future lies away from SW6 : “Well the situation, we have spoken with the sporting directors and there is interest from him, from other clubs, so let’s see how it develops. But hopefully it finishes in the best-possible way for all the parties.”

Elsewhere, Chalobah ‘s future also appears to be away from west London. After spending almost 20 years on Chelsea’s books, the England international could finally be on the move in the coming weeks with big interest from Italy in the defender.

football.london understands Chelsea have turned down two offers from Italian side Como for the 27-year-old defender, who is said to be keen on a move to the Serie A this summer. There are at least two other interested parties keeping a close eye on Chalobah’s situation but Como, it appears, are winning the race at the time of writing.

As reported almost a month ago, the Blues are open to allowing the Cobham graduate an exit in the summer transfer window. However, they will only listen to offers in and around the £30m-35m range.
