Chelsea have already booked a medical for Aston Villa winger Morgan Rogersaccording to Fabrizio Romano.
The Blues recently hijacked Arsenal’s pursuit of the Englishman. They have agreed to pay a club-record £117m fee for his transfer.
Rogers is currently playing for England in the third-place play-off against France but he will then travel to west London for a medical.
That is scheduled to happen as early as Monday with the Blues determined to secure a formal agreement for the transfer as soon as possible.
Arsenal have already moved out of the race for the former Middlesbrough man but Chelsea are still keen on sorting out an early transfer.
Rogers has already agreed personal terms on a six-year contract with the Blues and he will be one of their highest earners next season.
Arsenal were reluctant to pay over the odds for Rogers and have now missed out on his services to Chelsea, who are said to be delighted.
