Chelsea agree Rogers deal

Chelsea have reached a verbal agreement with Aston Villa to sign Morgan Rogers, The Athletic reports.

The England international was a top target for Arsenal, but he has greenlit a transfer to Stamford Bridge and will sign a six-year contract with the option for a further season.

Chelsea have had to commit to shelling out €138 million to get Aston Villa to change their not-for-sale stance. It is the second-highest upfront fee in Premier League history. Rogers will undergo his medical on Monday.

Spurs confident about Van de Ven extension

Tottenham believe that Micky van de Ven will soon commit his long-term future to the club, TEAMtalk claims.

The Netherlands centre-back had no intention of holding talks with Spurs over a new deal earlier this year and looked set for a summer departure. However, the arrival of Roberto de Zerbi and the club’s ambitious spending have changed his stance.

Van de Ven’s representatives have sent positive signals that the player would be receptive to a contract proposal, and Tottenham are growing confident that a deal can be struck.

Savinho talks heat up

Tottenham are stepping up their pursuit of Man City winger Savinho, as per Nicolo Schira.

Spurs have reignited talks for the Brazilian and indicated a willingness to pay up to €80m for him this summer. Savinho is understood to be open to a move to North London.

Terms on a contract until 2031 with the option for a further season are believed to have been broadly agreed already. It is now up to Spurs to find common ground with Man City.

Fernandes to leave Man Utd?

Man Utd would be willing to sell Bruno Fernandes for €50m this summer, Suleyman Rhodope states.

The Portugal international has been a key target for Galatasaray all summer, with the Turkish giants keen to hold talks over a possible deal. It is claimed that Man Utd would sell at the right price.

However, the Turkish giants appear to have concerns over his €20m net per season salary demand, while it is also unclear whether he would want to make the move. Real Madrid star Brahim Diaz is an alternative target.

Arsenal join Lacroix race

Arsenal have entered the race to sign Crystal Palace centre-back Maxence Lacroix, according to CaughtOffside.

The France defender has been heavily linked with a possible move to Chelsea in recent weeks, with some reports going so far as to suggest that a deal is all but done. However, Palace insist that no agreement has been reached.

Arsenal are now also mulling over a potential transfer in the wake of William Saliba suffering a serious back injury that is expected to keep him out of action for several months. Palace could demand up to €70m for Lacroix.
