What Marc Cucurella plans to do if he receives offer to leave Chelsea this summer
Marc Cucurella and Enzo Fernandez are two players who do not seem completely settled at Chelsea at this moment in time.
Both men recently gave interviews that did not go down well with everyone, with Cucurella questioning the club’s transfer strategy and decision to part ways with Enzo Maresca.
Meanwhile, his teammate has not poured cold water on speculation about a move to the Santiago Bernabeu. There has been plenty of talk about Fernandez potentially joining Real Madrid, which he did not shut down when being interviewed.
Who would you sign to replace Marc Cucurella?
He hasn’t ruled out a Chelsea exit…
Marc Cucurella planning to consider attractive offers in upcoming transfer window
If Fernandez does end up departing Chelsea in the next transfer window, it looks like Cucurella could follow him out of the exit door.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Cucurella’s plan is to consider attractive offers that come his way this summer.
The outlet claims that Barcelona are one club he would seriously consider joining, which is not too much of a surprise.
A move to the Camp Nou would allow the defender to return to Spain and would see him get another chance to play for his former club again.

Chelsea signed Cucurella from Brighton & Hove Albion for around £60m in 2022, but it is unlikely that the Blues will be able to get their money back for him, especially if they have to sell to a Barcelona with financial problems.
Cucurella turns 28 in July and is approaching the final two years of his contract. His resale value is decreasing rapidly.
In terms of potential replacements, Chelsea have the option of turning to Jorrel Hato. Hato did not play in the FA Cup semi-final over the weekend, as Calum McFarlane wanted to go with Tosin Adarabioyo’s height to combat Leeds United’s threat from set pieces.
The Dutchman has been playing in central defence of late, but he can start at left-back, shining in both positions under Liam Rosenior. With that in mind, Hato could be the man to replace Cucurella next season should the Spain international depart.
