Aston Villa are interested in signing Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson this summer.

The Blues are willing to sell the 25-year-old but want a £65 million transfer fee, per BBC Sport.

Villa are looking to strengthen their attacking options, with Morgan Rogers poised to make a £117m move to Chelsea.

Finding a replacement for Rogers is not easy, but the Lions believe Jackson could be a good option for them.

The Senegal international mainly plays as a striker but can also operate on either flank.

Jackson is not a clinical finisher, but he is highly rated for his blistering pace, work rate and link-up play. He has scored 30 goals in 81 appearances for Chelsea.

The Senegalese enjoyed a decent loan campaign at Bayern Munich last season, notching 11 goals and four assists in 34 games.

The Bavarians had the option to make the move permanent for £56m, but decided against activating the clause.

Chelsea currently have five strikers on their books – Jackson, Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, Marc Guiu and Emanuel Emegha.

With no Champions League football next season, the club wants to offload some of the centre-forwards.

They are also aiming to raise funds to balance their books after committing £117m to seal a move for Rogers.
