Man City Director of Football Hugo Viana has held talks with the agent of Bournemouth forward Eli Kroupi, according to reports.

Sky Sports Switzerland claim that City are big fans of the teenager, but they have yet to make any formal contact with his club.

Kroupi’s asking price is said to be around €80m (£69m), and supporters on X are split on whether he would be worth the outlay:

Kroupi is attracting plenty of suitors

Pep Guardiola‘s side are by no means the only Premier League club who are keeping tabs on the 19-year-old.

Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea have all been linked with Kroupi in recent weeks, with many believing that he has a big future ahead of him.

Man City are unlikely to prioritise a move for a forward

Omar Marmoush was signed from Eintracht Frankfurt for €70m (£59m) at the start of last year, while Antoine Semenyo was snapped up for £64m from Bournemouth during the January transfer window.

Any approach for Kroupi would probably depend on a player leaving City first, with Viana expected to focus his attention on strengthening other positions.

A new central midfielder to replace captain Bernardo Silva is top of the agenda, while another right-back is expected to be brought in as well.
