Premier League giants ‘absolutely want’ to sign Djed Spence from Tottenham
The race for Djed Spence continues to heat up, with one of the biggest clubs in the Premier League now interested in the Tottenham full-back.
Inter Milan have held talks with Tottenham over Spence, who was arguably the best full-back on show at the World Cup this summer.
However, over the last few days, reports have indicated that the Nerazzurri are set to opt out of the race for the Spurs full-back, as they find the Lilywhites’ asking price to be excessive.
While the Serie A club may not fancy meeting Tottenham’s asking price for the player, it appears that a few Premier League clubs may be willing to do that.

Liverpool join race to sign Tottenham’s Djed Spence
Over recent days, some sources have said that Newcastle United are plotting a move for Spence, who Eddie Howe is a big fan of.
It has now been revealed by journalist Dave Davis that Liverpool are also keeping a close eye on the 25-year-old, with his versatility appealing to the Merseysiders.
Davis told the Anfield Index YouTube channel: “We went digging on this, and Djed Spence is absolutely a player that Liverpool are looking at. That’s our info now. Liverpool absolutely are having a serious look at Djed Spence.”
“He can play right-back and left-back at the same time, which means you just wonder, you know, you sell (Kostas) Tsimikas, and then you’ve got right-back and left-back cover there in Djed Spence.”
Liverpool could face competition from fierce rivals for Spence
The Premier League interest in the Tottenham man does not end there, with one of Liverpool’s biggest rivals also thought to be exploring a deal.
According to Football Insider, Spence has emerged onto United’s radar over the last few weeks after impressing at the World Cup.
It thus appears that a major bidding war could potentially be on the cards for the former Middlesbrough man over the coming weeks.
