Aston Villa want Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson after bringing Garnacho on loan from Stamford Bridge. Chelsea want £65m for the Senegalese forward. Unai Emery is very much fond of Jackson. His future at Chelsea is still uncertain.

Are Chelsea really relaxed about the situation of Nicolas Jackson?

Chelsea are more than relaxed regarding the situation of Nicolas Jackson. As reported by Football Blog, Chelsea have put valuation of £65m for the striker. The exact price came into light after Aston Villa enquired about the football player’s presence in the market. Fabrizio Romano posted on his X saying that Jackson’s name has been discussed in the transfer talks between Chelsea and Aston Villa. Apart from Aston Villa, some other Premier League and La Liga teams are also interested in the 25-year-old.

As reported by BBC, Xabi Alonso has decided to give the African forward a chance to prove himself in the pre-season. The Blues are moving to Sydney for their pre-season tour in this summer. Jackson will most likely join the squad only if he does not reach an agreement with some other club. The forward will face difficulties in getting back his starting position in the team. If the London side receives a suitable offer, they will sanction his sale readily.

Jackson face dilemma about his Chelsea future

Jackson was sent to Bayern Munich on loan for the 2025-26 campaign. His loan deal has an option to make the move permanent. But the German side opted not to activate that option and sign him permanently. After spending one year in Germany, at Allianz Arena he has come back to London. But now the scenario at Stamford Bridge is not favourable for him. Joao Pedro has become the preferred candidate to start majority of the games as the striker. Liam Delap and new signing Emmanuel Emegha are also in contention to own that position. Moreover, Chelsea have signed Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa for record transfer fee of £117m fee, as reported by The Athletic.

These narrow down Jackson’s chance to get regular minutes next season, especially when the Blues are not playing in any European competition. The club still consider him as an important squad player but will not hesitate to sell him if any club meets the £65m asking price. The mentioned price is exactly double the figure they paid to Villarreal for his signature. Chelsea will then target his replacement without going into further loss.

Unai Emery wants Jackson at Aston Villa

As reported by Caught Offside, Unai Emery wants to add Nicolas Jackson to his squad. The Spanish coach’s desire to bring Jackson to the Midlands is quite reasonable. Most recently, Villa had to let Morgan Rogers move to Chelsea for £117m. Rogers is a left sided forward who can operate as an attacking midfielder also. The Senegalese would not be a direct replacement for Rogers on that left side. But he will provide competition to Ollie Watkins.

Emery’s relationship with Jackson could give Villa a slight advantage in the negotiations. The Villa manager had worked previously with the striker at Villarreal. As reported by Sky Sports, Emery found Jackson’s behavior to be fantastic and appreciated his learning mentality. But the £65m price seems difficult for Villa to pay. A financial structure with some add-ons which reaches £65m will be easier to reach.
