As per reports, speaking after Porto’s 2-1 win against Estrela da Amadora, he said, “I am the coach of Porto and I am really happy to be here.” When asked further about a possible move, he added, “Yeah, absolutely.”

Those comments put an end on the rumors. The Blues’ search for stability has led them to several rising names this season. This comes especially after parting ways with Rosenior recently.

But, Farioli’s response removes one of the most intriguing options from their shortlist. His rise has been fast and sharp, built on tactical intelligence rather than hype, and that has made top clubs take notice.

Porto over Premier League dream

At FC Porto, Farioli is not just managing games, he is building something that looks ready to rise. Since arriving last July, he has guided the team to a 74% win rate. That is a number that shows both consistency and control.

As per Liga Portugal stats, Porto are at the top in the points table by seven points with only three games to go. This puts them in a great spot to win their first league title since 2022. With that, the interest from the Premier League giants makes sense when you look at their current defensive issues. They have conceded plenty of goals in the PL this season so far. In addition, their structure without the ball has often been questioned.

Farioli fits the profile of a coach who could fix that. Other names like Cesc Fabregas, Xabi Alonso, and Andoni Iraola remain in the talks as well. But, Porto’s boss has the ability to create a system that quickly brings results. However, his latest comments suggest that any move from the west London side will have to wait.
