Chelsea take on Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge on Monday afternoon and Alan Shearer has given his prediction.

The Blues returned to winning ways against Leeds in the FA Cup semi final last weekend, but haven’t won in the league since March.

Chelsea are on a run of five consecutive league defeats without scoring, and currently find themselves ninth in the league.

Calum McFarlane will take charge of his first game at Stamford Bridge, but the Blues have a poor record at home this season, with just six league wins.

Chelsea have been boosted by the return of Reece James and Levi Colwill, and they could both be in the squad on Monday.

Nottingham Forest sit 16th and still need points to guarantee their Premier League status for another season, but they could have one eye on the second leg of their Europa League semi final next week.

A win would see the Blues move up to sixth, and Paul Merson believes they’ll get three points, but Alan Shearer isn’t so sure.

“Chelsea are in the FA Cup Final after beating Leeds last week, in a game they had to win and they did so under Calum McFarlane, but I still have big question marks over them,” he told Metro.

“I don’t see Forest going there and giving up easily, so again, I think it could be another draw.

“Prediction – Draw.”
