Chelsea famously placed Disasi in their “bomb squad” earlier this season, and the club are now actively looking to offload the French centre-back. Chelsea have him listed as a player likely to be sold this summer, which opens a door Arsenal might just walk through.
The 27-year-old brings the kind of pace, physicality, and composure on the ball that Arteta really likes in his defenders. To be fair, he isn’t always the most dominant in the air, and he can get a bit shaky when he’s pressed high up the pitch. Still, as a rotation option behind Mosquera and White, Disasi is a logical choice and wouldn’t break the bank.

Word is that Badiashile is pretty much out of the Chelsea project. The club are reportedly ready to listen to offers for the 25-year-old, with a price tag floating around €35 million. The left-footed Frenchman is great at reading the game and is incredibly smooth when playing out from the back, which will be good for Arsenal’s possession-heavy game.
However, his injury record is a real worry, and he has a habit of fading into the background during big matches. Since Arsenal recently moved on from Tomiyasu, they could really use a dependable left-sided option. Despite the risks, Badiashile is a better option than almost anyone else on the market.
Pedro Neto — the wildcard worth a look
Neto brings something totally different to the table with his pace and a relentless work rate out wide. The 26-year-old Portuguese winger is still part of the setup at Chelsea, but reports suggest the club are planning to bring in even more attackers this summer, which could force him out.
His injury history is definitely a red flag, as he has spent a lot of time on the sidelines throughout his career. But when he’s fully fit, Neto stretches defences in a way Arsenal’s current wingers don’t always do. Chelsea’s bloated squad means they have to sell, and Arsenal, who have already shown they are happy to shop at Stamford Bridge, could easily step in.
