Chelsea fans would be forgiven for thinking that all the focus behind the scenes is on appointing a new manager. But actually, Chelsea are still concentrating on new signings, and one of them is Endrick.

Real Madrid talent Endrick joined Lyon on loan in January having only managed three appearances for Madrid during the first half of the season. Much of which was under Xabi Alonso, an option to take over.

You can only keep one, Enzo Fernandez or Cole Palmer. Who are you choosing?

His form at Lyon has been eye-catching. Despite his discipline issues continuing with another red card in France, Endrick has had a hand in 14 goals for Lyon since joining on loan in January, playing just 18 times.

A Brazil international and likely to be on the plane across the pond this summer, Endrick’s long-term future was also in doubt given his loan to Lyon. Chelsea and Arsenal have made enquiries for Endrick.

Real Madrid deliver bad news as Chelsea’s Endrick plans shelved

That is according to TeamTalk, with the report suggesting Arsenal and Chelsea were eyeing a blockbuster move to lure Endrick to London. If Endrick had joined Chelsea, he would have reunited with Estevao.

However, the report from TeamTalk states that Real Madrid have delivered a blunt and unequivocal response to both Chelsea and Arsenal, after they had approached Real Madrid over a deal for Endrick.

Indeed, TeamTalk say that Madrid have no intention of selling Endrick for whatever price this summer. The hierarchy at the Bernabeu rate Endrick highly, and see the former Palmeiras star as part of their side.

Endrick helped Lyon do what Chelsea couldn’t against PSG

Luis Enrique has made PSG the all-conquering team that opponents in Europe feared last season, in recent weeks. A first-leg 5-4 win over Bayern Munich was arguably the match of the entire campaign.

Would Endrick be a good signing for Chelsea?

In all competitions, PSG have only lost eight times all season. Indeed, PSG have only lost once in their last 11 games, and it came against Endrick’s Lyon, with the Real Madrid loanee scoring one and creating one.

Oh, how Chelsea could have done with Endrick in their side back in the last 16 of the Champions League. Their attempts to actually get the scourge of PSG has now ended in failure, with Madrid unwilling to sell.
