After joining Porto in the winter, the Brazilian was a near ever-present in a side who ended up winning the Portuguese league.

Silva was interested in joining Chelsea before his move there, however the Blues were not keen on doing that deal, likely down to his age and experience.

In truth, Silva would be the perfect figure for this current squad in the dressing room, and the fact he proved how much he is still hurting while watching only adds to the despair that he is not currently a Chelsea player.
