Petit Urges “Diamond” Forward To “Come To Arsenal” After Both The Gunners And Chelsea Reportedly Make Enquiries
Former Gunners star Emmanuel Petit says he would “love” Real Madrid striker Endrick “to come to Arsenal”.
The Brazilian is currently on loan with Lyon in France until the end of the season, and Petit has described the player as both a “crazy horse” and a “diamond”:
“Endrick is doing well at Lyon. I think he’s played around 13 games and got five assists and four goals which is very good for his age,” said Petit. “The most important thing for him is to play regular football
“He’s so young, only 19 years old. He’s very talented, very gifted, but he’s like a crazy horse with a lot of energy. On the pitch, sometimes he’s a little bit too selfish. But at the same time, he knows he has huge qualities.
“He needs to be in the right environment to improve and develop because this guy is a diamond. What kind of club would be very good for him? Given his qualities, I would love for him to come to Arsenal, to be honest with you.
Endrick is on the club’s radar
It was reported by TEAMtalk earlier this week that both Mikel Arteta’s side and Chelsea have “made enquiries” about potentially signing the teenager.
However, at the moment, it appears that Real are not interested in selling Endrick, despite the fact that they loaned him out for the second half of the season after he struggled for minutes at the Bernabeu.
Will Arsenal make a move for a forward this summer?
While Endrick may not be making the switch to the Emirates, sporting director Andrea Berta is said to be looking at targets to reinforce the front line.
A left winger, rather than a centre-forward, is expected to be prioritised, with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon and Ajax’s Mika Godts having all been linked over the past few weeks.
