Former England striker Wayne Rooney has delivered some harsh home truths on the owners of Chelsea right now.
To be honest, it’s not just Rooney out there saying this, literally every single Chelsea fan is saying the same thing and every person involved in football is as well. It’s literally the most obvious thing in football right now that we can all see – if only the Chelsea owners see it too. Because they need to do more than ‘tweak the model’ right now, they need to gut it out and change it completely.

Rooney has been speaking this week after watching Chelsea lose 3-1 at home to Nottingham Forest, and the former Premier League star cannot believe how this club is operating right now.

In words quoted on X yesterday, Rooney said:
“The money they (Chelsea) spend and how they try and operate is absolutely crazy.
“For a player, you don’t want to be tying yourself in for that long at that club. It’s madness.”
