The Blues have been criticised for their heavily youth focused transfer strategy, but it’s been reported they’re prepared to target players with proven Premier League experience this summer.

Co-owner Behdad Eghbali has said the model will tweaked, but fans will only believe it when they see action taken.

It’s evident there’s a lack of quality, leadership and know how within the squad, which is why the Blues find themselves ninth in the league with three games remaining.

It’s a critical summer with the Blues also in the process of appointing a new head coach, and The Athletic have reported they’re looking for players who’ve played in one of Europe’s top five leagues.

The report adds players need to have experience of competing in multiple competitions in a single season, with knowing how to handle the demands of that schedule seen as key.
