Liverpool boss Arne Slot says he expects Alexander Isak to return for the Reds’ next fixture.
The Swedish international was ruled out of the 3-2 defeat to Manchester United last weekend due to a minor groin problem. Speaking about the injury on Sunday, Slot said:
“We miss out on Alex as well… Of course, very unlucky and unhappy with the fact he picked up a really small injury.”
“That’s why this game came a bit too early… It wasn’t much, but unfortunately, it was too much for (today).”
Expected Return Date – Saturday 9th May vs Chelsea (h)
Alisson
Slot is less certain that Liverpool’s number one will be available for the club’s next game.
Asked about when we could see Alisson return to the pitch, the Dutchman said he wants to see him back in training first:
” We’re hoping for him to be ready next week, but we have to wait and see how the week will go.”
Alisson has been sidelined since the 4-0 win over Galatasaray in March due to a hamstring injury.
