Chelsea slam the door on Joao Pedro after talks with agent about Barcelona move
Chelsea have made it clear to Joao Pedro that they will not entertain any offers for him this summer, despite interest from Barcelona.
A dismal season at Stamford Bridge has not taken away from the individual brilliance of Joao Pedro, who has 20 goals and nine assists in all competitions this season.
Pedro has formed a strong relationship with the likes of Enzo Fernandez and other key players, and has been one of the best signings the club have made during the BlueCo ownership.

His brilliance has clearly seen him gather the attention of some of the biggest clubs in world football, and Deco is pushing to bring him to Barcelona in the summer.
However, Simon Phillips has stated that Chelsea will outright reject any proposals from the La Liga giants, despite Pedro bringing up the conversation to his agents.
He said on his Substack: “We’ve also heard from top sources that Pedro has spoken with his agents about a move to Barcelona, indicating that he would be keen to move there and to see if it was possible this summer.
“However, Chelsea will reject any attempts that Barcelona make to sign Pedro, and they will reject any desire he shows to join them. Pedro is under a long contract and was only signed last summer, so any move will not be entertained.
“It’s important to say that Pedro has not told Chelsea he wants out to this point, and he is not currently doing anything to force a move.”
BlueCo’s long-term plan of handing out long contracts to their key players who join is actually protecting them in this situation.
