Igor Thiago wanted

Chelsea are ready to step up their pursuit of Brentford striker Igor Thiago this summer, with the Brazilian having been identified as a top target amid the woes of Liam Delap since his arrival.

Thiago has netted 22 Premier League goals so far this season and Chelsea have earmarked him as a potential summer signing, as per Transfers.

Brentford are reluctant to sanction a sale and they have reportedly set their asking price at a whopping €90 million in a bid to ward off interest from Chelsea and fellow suitors Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Despite this, Chelsea officials remain confident of tempting Thiago into a Stamford Bridge switch.

Joao Pedro to join Barcelona?

Joao Pedro has emerged as a strong target for Barcelona in recent weeks, with the Spanish giants earmarking him as an alternative to Atletico Madrid superstar Julian Alvarez.

Chelsea have no interest in allowing him to leave, while initial reports speculate that Pedro himself isn’t pushing to leave west London, having only arrived at the club last summer.

However, Spanish outlet Transfers claim that Barcelona boss Hansi Flick has approved the signing of Pedro, with the Blaugrana keen to intensify their pursuit of his signature when the summer window opens.

Arsenal interested in Enzo Fernandez

Arsenal are reportedly interested in rivalling Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid for the signing of Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez this summer.

The Argentina international hinted that he would like to move to Madrid during the recent March international break and rumours of an exit have persisted ever since, with Man City emerging as new contenders for his signature following confirmation that Bernardo Silva will leave the club this summer.

PSG remain interested too, while TEAMtalk claim that Arsenal are also monitoring his situation at Stamford Bridge amid their pursuit of a new central midfielder ahead of next season.

FootballTransfers understands that Newcastle United star Sandro Tonali is currently Mikel Arteta’s preferred midfield signing this summeralthough it’s reported that Fernandez has also been earmarked as a potential option.

Chelsea to accept Enzo Fernandez sale

Meanwhile, CaughtOffside claim that Chelsea have accepted that selling Fernandez may be required this summer as they look to raise money to fund their transfer activity ahead of 2026-27.

It’s reported that Chelsea “must sanction a major sale this summer”, with Fernandez regarded as the most obvious candidate given his desire to leave and interest from several top European clubs.

Chelsea will look to begin negotiations over a sale at €115m as they look to maximise the potential

Andy Roberton message

Didi Hamann has told Chelsea to pursue a deal for Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson, who will be available on a free transfer this summer.

“A player like Andy Robertson, they should take him in a heartbeat. I think he’s exactly the type of player Chelsea needs or is crying out for,” Hamann said (via Metro).

“With one or two more experienced players, they’ve got to give themselves a chance. I don’t think the way the team is put together, they give themselves a chance. Andy Robertson, I’d take him at Chelsea in a heartbeat if he was interested.”

Wesley Fofana decision

Chelsea defender Wesley Fofana reportedly has no intention of leaving the club this summer, despite growing speculation suggesting that he could be offloaded.

Fofana hasn’t played since being hooked at half-time during Chelsea’s dismal 3-0 loss away to Brighton & Hove Albion in Liam Rosenior’s final game in charge, with Trevoh Chalobah and Tosin Adarabioyo selected at centre-back for the win over Leeds United and the defeat to Nottingham Forest.

Levi Colwill returned off the bench against the latter, replacing Tosin at half-time, and Fofana is also likely to be behind Jorrel Hato in the pecking order as things stand, with the Dutchman having impressed during Rosenior’s reign.

However, The Daily Mail have now confirmed that Fofana has no intention of leaving Chelsea, despite rumours previously suggesting he could be open to a move to Marseille.
