Chelsea have now discussed hiring 20 different managers behind the scenes
Chelsea’s search for a new manager continues with potential options dropping like flies over the past week or so, including the likes of Xavi and Porto manager Francesco Farioli.
Xabi Alonso, Andoni Iraola, and Marco Silva are considered the three front-runners, while Cesc Fabregas is the pick many Chelsea fans would want. However, it is unclear if Fabregas will want to leave Como.

They’ve been hanging out together in London!
Farioli has just won the league with Porto, and after reports of talks with Xavi’s camp, that rumour was quickly played down. Other names to be linked include Oliver Glasner, Niko Kovac, and Fabian Hurzeler.
Plenty of managers continue to be touted with Chelsea, but many are dropping out of the race for the vacant hotseat the longer it goes on. Some are said to be concerned with BlueCo’s involvement.
The huge number of managers discussed by Chelsea internally
The managerial merry-go-round continues at Chelsea with new names being considered on a regular basis. Now, TeamTalk claim a whopping 20 managers have been discussed by Chelsea behind the scenes.

BlueCo and the club’s five sporting directors are desperate to get this appointment right, having made a catastrophic failure with the decision to bring Liam Rosenior across the channel from Strasbourg.
It is unclear when Chelsea will finally appoint a new manager, but for now, Calum McFarlane remains in interim charge. This weekend, he is preparing for his fifth match as interim boss, away at Liverpool.
The managers who have rejected Chelsea or chosen another club
Former Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas has rejected an approach from Chelsea to hire Porto boss Farioli. It comes after Farioli guided Porto to the Liga NOS title on Saturday, winning 27 of his 32 games.
QUARTER-FINAL TWO: Enzo Fernandez vs Cole Palmer?
Xavi is no longer a consideration, with reports playing down a move. Glasner is low down on the shortlist because Chelsea feel the Crystal Palace manager would not be willing to work under the ownership.
Hurzeler is due to sign a new contract at Brighton, even if confirmation is yet to arrive while reports on Thursday say Iraola has chosen to join Crystal Palace. Luckily for Chelsea, their list includes 20 names.
