Arne Slot has just taken his press conference ahead of Chelsea’s game against Liverpool tomorrow in the early kick off.

The Reds’ have not been in great form either, but they’ve found a couple of wins of late, and according to their manager they know what to expect from the Blues.

McFarlane “closer to Maresca” than Rosenior

“All managers have their idea about football. They’ve had three managers his season. I think (Calum McFarlane) is a little closer to what Enzo Maresca usually did. So he has a very clear identity in how he plays. It’s exactly clear what to expect,” Slot said.

“It’s usually the three, box midfield, three they’re playing with, although it depends a little bit on what players they’re playing with, how they fill in the positions.

“They have a very clear identity, as they did under Rosenior, but they also have a clear identity under this manager.”

It’s a bit of a word salad, but we get what he means. Given our injuries, it will be harder than usual to predict our actual team.

In other news…

Moises Caicedo has signed a new deal at Chelsea, and he remains “convinced” that this was the right call.

We think Liam Delap is almost certain to start tomorrow – although there are certainly more popular options among fans.
